Why have a garage sale?

• Garage Sales eliminate rental of storage units.

• Garage Sales can be a yearly event for the neighborhood.

• You can donate the money earned to a favorite charity, schools are an example.

I will be writing about my experience managing garage sales for friends and friends of friends. One sale ran 2 days and took in over $ 2,000.00. A second sale ran 5 days and took in $ 3,500.00.

Both sales were lots of work. Sales require sorting, pricing, organizing, posting on the Internet, and being there before (set up), during (keep order, take money), and after (clean up, dispose of what was unsold) the sale.
